REFINING
Another issue in producing renewable jet fuel is refining capacity. The Company is working on establishing adequate refining capacities to meet the Company’s objectives with UOP, the world’s largest refining technology provider (www.uop.com) and several smaller refining technology providers. As of this date, we expect to have refining capacity in Europe, Caribbean, and South Asia locations as well as some capacity in the U.S

BioJet provides blended renewable jet fuel as stated under the specifications certified under ASTM D7566 for Aviation Turbine Fuels Containing Synthesized Hydrocarbons. The ASTM points out that the standard is structured to accommodate other future types of synthetic fuels produced from non-conventional feedstocks and processes as they are developed over the next several years. BioJet is at the forefront of these developments.

Green diesel fuel has superior product properties to other options available today with higher cetane levels, lower cloud point and lower emissions. It is indistinguishable from traditional diesel fuel and can work as a drop-in replacement or as a valuable blend stock that will enhance the quality of the existing diesel pool. Because it is chemically similar to traditional diesel fuel, green diesel can be used in today’s tanks, pipelines, trucks, pumps and automobiles without changes, which will savesignificant expense as demand for renewables grows. Green diesel can be use in any proportion in today’s infrastructure from pipelines and storage to gas pumps and automobiles The Ecofining process from UOP, is feedstock flexible and will produce green diesel with the same superior quality from a wide variety of feedstocks like vegetable oils, tallow, animal fats, greases and algal oils Green Diesel offers lower fossil energy requirements and reduction of Green House Gases and NOx emissions.

These Next Generation Fuels are indistinguishable from those of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. By swapping out natural genes for synthetic ones, scientists trick microorganisms such as E. coli and yeast into converting simple sugars to diesel, gasoline and jet fuel instead of into fats or alcohols. As in traditional ethanol production, microbes ferment the sugars (in this case, from sugar cane) in a slurry, but since finished fuels don’t mix with water, the hydrocarbons are easily separated water, the hydrocarbons are easily separated by centrifuge without expensive distillation. Designer fuels are ready to drop into the existing infrastructure.
